The Challenge in Applying for the Big 4

Getting in one of the big 4 accounting firms is a major challenge. Almost all accounting, business and finance graduates compete in the positions offered in these accounting firms. An applicant must put his best foot forward to possibly get the job. Since there is a wide range of competition, the applicants must not only have high grades during college and pass the board exam but also he must have an edge among all other applicants.

It would be practical for the applicants to be resourceful enough for them to know the hiring and recruitment process.

In that way, the applicant will not be surprised on the processes and steps he will go through during application. The big four companies usually use verbal, analytical, logical and accounting tests in their recruitment process. It would also be helpful if an applicant can review on frequently asked questions in an interview. Practice will definitely make it perfect. Lastly, applicants must be confident and knowledgeable of the position he is applying for. Otherwise, he will be caught off guard during the interview and the rest of the application process.
